Direct Digital Controls (DDC)Plant Engineering is the hub for all DDC activity. During capital design projects, we provide control drawings to the outside engineering firms, as well as help finalize control sequences. We also provide the DDC cost estimate for the project. After construction has started, we are first to review the control drawing submittals and work with the controls contractor throughout construction. We also work with our own internal Plant Operations DDC shop on programming issues. Typically on outside construction projects, the controls contractor supplies and installs all sensors and pulls all wires, and then our controls shop does all point terminations, programming, and start-up. We also work with the Plant Ops DDC shop on existing programs and sequences. |
