Water Treatment

Mechanical Engineering assists with the campus water treatment program. The program manages water treatment for all closed loop systems (chilled water, heating hot water), and open loop systems (cooling towers). There are well over 250 systems on campus that require regular treatment and testing. Our department created a database for all system data, and the water treatment technicians maintain the regular data entry. We also work with technicians for upgrading the chemical feed stations.
