In January, 2009, Utilities & Plant Engineering underwent a departmental reorganization. From this came the creation of the UPE Business Services group. This transformation allows all UPE business management and accounting responsibilities to be centralized under the direction of the business manager. Within this group is the Energy Billing Systems team. The EBS team is responsible for processing all utilities for the UM community. This includes: purchasing, invoice auditing, processing vendor payments, metering, monthly recharging to our customers for their direct purchased utilities and/or generated utilities through the Service Unit Billing, reconciling, and record keeping.

Our energy billing system (EBS) was implemented on July 1^st 2004. This new system significantly improves the accuracy and reliability of our utility purchasing and billing procedures, and provides customers with web-based access for retrieving billing information. By clicking the web-based interface link on the left, you can find up-to-date information on current and historical charges, flexible reporting tools, and operating instructions.
