| 05/20/05 | Don’t Dump It, Donate it is a Success! Don’t Dump, It Donate It, the Student Move-Out donation collection program, had another successful year! Every year, Waste Management Services collects clothing, shoes, food, toiletry, bedding/blanket, and household item donations from Residence Halls. Waste Management Services, along with University Housing collected almost 14 tons of donations from Residence Halls as well as seven other campus locations. We accomplished this by placing yellow donation boxes in these locations as well as advertising “Don’t Dump It, Donate It” in the Michigan Daily, on University buses, and on Diag Boards across campus. This year, Food Gatherers, Friends-In-Deed, and Purple Heart were the recipients of the student donations. |
