Corrugated Cardboard & Paper Bags

Corrugated cardboard boxes and pizza boxes must be emptied and flattened for recycling.

Did you know?: The capacity of a recycling dumpster increases 8-10 time when boxes are broken down.

In Academic/Administrative buildings, put flattened cardboard boxes next to any Paper Recycling bin in the building (This indicates to the Building Services staff that the box is meant to be recycled.) Or, bring empty and flattened boxes directly to the blue paper recycling dumpster found at the loading dock. In Residence Halls, place flattened boxes on the Waste/Recycling Closet shelf.
